ReceiptRoller 1.4.962 Release Notes

Release 1.4.962 focuses on coupons and customer management. Coupons gain a detail page with usage, a QR code to print on flyers and in-store POP, and email delivery to customers who have visited. In customer management you can now use customer segments, see each customer's purchase history, and set the member number format. Customers can choose which stores may email them, and we have revised the Privacy Policy to match.

Claiming and using coupons, and email settings, come to the iPhone and Android apps in an upcoming version. They are available today in the browser and the LINE mini app.

Use the service here: https://receiptroller.io

What's new

See how a coupon is being used on its detail page

  • Click a coupon's name in the coupon list to open its detail page
  • Times used (with the limit), uses in the last 30 days, customers who used it, and total discount given — the discount total covers fixed-amount coupons only, since percentage coupons record no amount
  • Daily (last 30 days) and weekday charts, and the 20 most recent uses — dates are counted in Japan time

Print a coupon as a QR code on flyers and POP

  • Download a print-size PNG from the coupon's detail page
  • Scanning the QR code at the till works the same as typing the coupon code — customers can use it even if they haven't favorited your store in the app

Send coupons by email

  • Use "Send by email" on the coupon's detail page — send to "This store's customers" or a customer segment. The page shows how many will receive it, and how many won't and why
  • Send now (goes out within a minute or so) or at a set time — up to 90 days ahead, and you can cancel before it is sent
  • Emails go to customers with a recorded visit and customers who chose to receive your news — never to anyone who has unsubscribed
  • The email includes the coupon, its code and a QR code — it ends with your store's name, address and contact details as the sender, and an unsubscribe link. You need an address and a phone number or email address in your store details to send

Customers choose how they receive emails from stores

  • Booking, waitlist and membership forms, and ReceiptRoller sign-up, now have "Email me news and coupons" — unticked by default
  • "Emails from stores" on the profile — choose "From every store", "Only from stores I have visited" or "None", and stop or resume each store
  • The link in each email stops them without signing in — from that store only, or from every store
  • A customer's detail page shows whether your store can email them, and why — only the customer can change this

Privacy Policy revised (October 12, 2026)

We added Article 11 (Emails from Member Stores) and a matching purpose of use, covering emails we send at a member store's request with its news and coupons: who receives them, what each email states, how to stop them, and what we record. The Japanese version is the official text.

Customer management: segments, purchase history and member number format

  • Create customer segments — group customers by visits, total spent, days since last visit, rank, tag, prefecture and store. While editing, the page shows how many match and some examples
  • Choose a segment as a push notification's audience — if the segment is deleted before sending, the send stops rather than going to everyone. Sent campaigns keep showing the segment's name after it is deleted
  • The customer page shows total spent and purchase history (the latest 30) — roles that can view transactions can open each receipt from its date
  • Set the member number format (prefix and digits) on the membership card page — member numbers already issued keep working at the till, and numbers never repeat. A new customer's default prefix comes from your business account's name

Receive receipts automatically

  • When receiving a receipt from a QR code in the LINE mini app, customers can choose "Receive {store}'s receipts automatically from now on" — shown when the sale has a member attached
  • From then on, receipts arrive automatically when they check out as a member — in LINE, or by email to the account's address without LINE
  • "Automatic receipts" in the profile settings (LINE mini app and web) stops it for each business account

What each role can see

  • Finance managers can now view the transaction list, transaction details and CSV export — so they can check the receipts behind the sales reports
  • Store managers can now view visitor analysis for their own store

Smaregi integration and the counter QR code

  • A Smaregi contract now reaches a store only through that Smaregi account's own sign-in — strengthened because another company's Smaregi sales could have been imported. The contract can no longer be set or changed from the manual POS terminal form
  • Fixed the QR code by the register sometimes offering an earlier sale's receipt after that sale was edited

Other improvements and fixes

  • Fixed product CSV imports staying at "Pending"
  • Product search now returns results beyond the first 200 — the B2B EC storefront pages through them 48 at a time
  • Push notification campaigns now offer only the channels that actually deliver (iOS and Android) — LINE and Web Push were listed before, and were marked sent without arriving
  • An agency's number of clients now follows its plan — Basic 1, Pro up to 10, Enterprise unlimited
  • Sign-ins completed with two-step verification are now recorded in the activity log

For owners and developers: API additions and changes

  • New consumer APIs to claim a coupon, use it, and take back a use — they need the new scope user.coupons.write. You can also list the coupons an account holds
  • New consumer API for the store email settings
  • Saving, changing and deleting receipts now needs user.receipts.write — user.receipts.read is still accepted until October 26, 2026
  • /sales/multi-trend now says in its response which stores beyond the 10 it compares were left out
  • The terminal QR claim API no longer accepts channel=email — use the form on the receipt page to receive by email
