ReceiptRoller 1.4.1057 Release Notes

Release 1.4.1057 brings everything we have built since 1.4.1041. This time we finished B2B EC for wholesale and business customers, ready to sell with: inviting customers and taking requests to trade, contract prices per customer, as amounts or rates, prices by quantity, minimum order quantities and ordering by the case, ordering by SKU and entering orders for customers, stock reserved by orders, and monthly closing invoices and qualified invoices. We have also added a sandbox and a better API reference for developers.

What's new

Start B2B EC yourself from the store settings

B2B EC is an online store where your business customers place their orders. Only customers you approve can see prices and order. It is available on the Growth plan and above.

  • Turn B2B EC on or off under "B2B EC" in the store settings — it is Off, Preparing or Live, and a launch checklist shows what is left before you go live
  • Preview the store as your customers will see it before you go live
  • Choose who sees what — show the store to approved customers only, or show product names, images and descriptions to everyone and prices to customers only
  • New pages introduce B2B EC, list its features, and explain each main function — with drawings of the real screens

Bring customers in by email invitation or by request

  • Invite a customer by email — no more typing in their account ID
  • Customers can ask to trade from your store page, and you approve or decline — they are told the result by email
  • Import and export customers, their prices, and orders as CSV

Contract prices per customer, as amounts or rates

  • Edit price lists per customer and per group as a table — add a row and enter a SKU and a price. Pasting from a spreadsheet works too
  • Set a price as a rate of the store price, such as "65%" — give a customer or group a default rate and products missing from the price list follow it. Fractions of a yen round down or to the nearest yen, as you choose
  • Lower the unit price as the quantity grows — such as "12 or more at 900 yen", and customers see the tiers on the product page
  • Set minimum order quantities and ordering by the case — turn on "Take B2B EC orders by the case only" on a product and customers can only order multiples of its case pack size. The same rule is checked in the cart, in ordering by SKU, in orders you enter, and at checkout, and a quantity that cannot be ordered is refused with the reason

Customers reorder faster

  • List SKUs and quantities and put them in the cart at once — pasting from Excel works too
  • Keep frequently bought items and order them together
  • Order the same again from order history — and download invoices and delivery slips
  • Save delivery addresses in an address book
  • Customers get an email when they order and when the order ships — and you are told about each new order

Enter phone and fax orders for your customers

  • Enter an order on a customer's behalf — list the SKUs and quantities, and the order appears in the customer's history

Orders, stock and shipping work together

  • An order reserves stock, shipping takes it off, and cancelling puts it back — choose per product whether stock is tracked
  • Choose the location each store ships from
  • A simple stock screen for the Growth plan
  • Charge shipping as free, one flat rate, or by region — with free shipping above an amount you set
  • An order becomes shipped, then delivered, once everything in it has gone out

Monthly closing invoices and qualified invoices

  • Issue one invoice per customer for each closing date — or have it issued automatically, customer by customer
  • Credit limits, and reminders for invoices past their due date
  • Invoices and delivery slips are PDFs in the qualified invoice format, with tax totalled once per rate
  • If a store has no invoice registration number, the closing invoice and B2B EC settings pages tell you — tax-exempt businesses can leave it as it is
  • Bank transfer is offered only by stores that have entered their bank details
  • Card payments go straight to the store that sells — B2B EC sales never appear on your ReceiptRoller billing pages

For developers and AI integrations

  • A sandbox business account with sample data — try the API without touching real data
  • Try calls straight from the API reference — plus a new API changelog and a page about the MCP server
  • Developer pages now share one menu and one URL family
  • The POS sales list now returns the real subtotal, discount and item count
  • Connections with outside apps (OAuth) and webhooks are safer

Other improvements and fixes

  • Stock times are shown in Japan time, and shipments are labelled consistently
  • Two stock updates at the same moment no longer overwrite each other — and stock can no longer go below zero
  • A plan change now takes effect reliably once payment completes
  • Community posts never show a poster's email address as their name

Coming next

In upcoming updates we plan to work on B2B EC requests for quotes, approval of orders inside the buyer's company, guaranteed payment for orders on credit, a connection to accounting software, and customer screens in more languages, among other things. If there is a feature you would like, tell us any time on the feature requests page.
