03 / PROBLEM

The problems in store receipt operations

Paper receipts are still needed — but they bring cost, handling and data-usage problems.

Rising cost

Receipt paper is an ongoing cost.

Paper waste

Paper receipts are easily thrown away — an environmental concern too.

Lost touchpoint

No connection with the customer remains after checkout.

Unused data

Purchase data is hard to turn into promotions or repeat visits.

04 / SOLUTION

Paper, NFC and QR — in one device

Three ways for the customer to receive a receipt.

01
Paper receipt

Print the receipt on the thermal printer, exactly as before.

02
NFC digital receipt

The customer taps their smartphone to receive the receipt.

03
QR digital receipt

The customer scans the displayed QR code to receive the receipt.

05 / HOW IT FITS

Deploy it on top of your existing POS

Digitize receipts without overhauling your checkout operation.

  • Deploy on your existing POS
  • Easy to start even for small stores
  • Minimal operational change
  • Start store DX from receipt issuing

06 / FLOW

The receipt-issuing flow

Just add a digital-receipt option to your usual checkout flow.

1
Staff rings up the sale on the POS

Works with any existing POS or register — no replacement needed.

2
Receipt data is sent to the RR printer

Received from the POS over USB / Bluetooth; sent to the server automatically over Wi-Fi (ESP32).

3
Customer chooses how to receive it

Choose paper, NFC or QR — no dedicated app install required.

4
Issued via paper, NFC or QR

One checkout issues one receipt, in the method the customer chose.

5
Digital receipts live on ReceiptRoller

Issued data is accumulated and managed on ReceiptRoller automatically.

6
Extend to history, CRM, coupons and promotion

Create a post-checkout touchpoint and drive repeat visits and promotions.

Inside step 2: set up once in the store app. Your POS sees it as an ordinary printer, and the TH-RR26 sends the e-receipt to the server over Wi-Fi (ESP32). It still works when the register is offline.
