This article explains the full flow from a buyer placing an order on B2B EC through to shipping and invoicing. Because PIM, OMS, and WMS integrate automatically, there is no need for manual data re-entry.
Buyer-Side Ordering Steps
- 1. Browse catalog: Search and filter products, then add them to the cart. Select quantity and variation.
- 2. Enter shipping details: Enter the recipient's postal code, address, contact name, and phone number.
- 3. Select payment method: Choose credit card (Stripe) or bank transfer.
- 4. Confirm order: Review the products, amount, shipping destination, and payment method.
- 5. Order complete: An order number (ORD-yyyyMMdd-XXXX) is issued, and a confirmation email is sent.
Automatic Processing After Ordering
- OMS order registration: The moment the order is confirmed, an order record is automatically created in OMS. Its status starts as "Pending."
- Invoice issuance: An invoice is automatically issued according to the payment method. For credit cards, it is issued as "Paid" after payment completes; for bank transfers, it is issued as "Issued (30-day payment term)."
- Cart clearing: After the order is placed, the buyer's cart is automatically emptied.
Seller-Side Processing (OMS)
- Confirm the order in OMS and change its status to "Confirmed."
- Allocate stock, pick, and pack in WMS.
- At shipping time, enter the carrier tracking number in OMS and update the status to "Shipped."
- A shipping notification is automatically sent to the buyer.
Payment and Invoicing
- Credit card: Instant settlement via Stripe. The buyer is automatically notified if payment fails.
- Bank transfer: The invoice includes the destination bank account. After payment is confirmed, an administrator updates the status to "Paid" in OMS.
Returns and Cancellations
Cancellations and returns after an order is placed are processed through OMS's return management feature. You can select the return reason and refund method (original payment method, bank transfer, or store credit) for processing. For details, see Return and Cancellation Processing.
