ReceiptRoller 1.4.1069 and Apps 1.10 Release Notes
Release 1.4.1069 brings everything we have built since 1.4.1057, along with version 1.10 of the iPhone and Android apps. This time we took the household budget from recording your spending to helping you save, with savings goals and money set aside first, a review of fixed costs and subscriptions, special expenses, insights from your receipt items, income by type with two savings rates, and refunds. For stores, Google Maps marketing (MEO) is now available on its own.
These new household budget features are available in the browser, in the LINE Mini App, and in iPhone app 1.10. They will come to the Android app in a later version.

What's new
Decide what you are saving for, and get there
Create a savings goal for each purpose, such as a trip or education. You can follow your progress from the home screen and the household budget.
- See how much you need each month and when you will reach the goal — worked out from the target amount and date
- See what is left to spend — your income minus the money you set aside first
- Get a suggested emergency fund — based on your recent spending, we show three to six months of living costs as a guide
Review your fixed costs and subscriptions
- We look through your receipts and statements for monthly payments — the ones you keep are listed by month and by year
- Notice price rises and payments of the same kind that overlap
- See fixed and variable costs separately in the household budget — you can also change this per category
Plan for the big expenses that come a few times a year
- Estimate costs such as car inspections, weddings and funerals for the year, and put money aside each month — templates make them quick to add
- Receipts assigned to a special expense do not count against your monthly budget — so one large payment does not distort your month
See how you spend, from the items on your receipts
- See how small purchases add up
- See what you buy most often, and what has gone up in price
- Follow the unit price of an item over time
Record your income by type
- Keep salary, bonuses, one-off income and side jobs apart
- Share out a bonus across your savings goals and special expenses
- See two savings rates: regular income, and with bonuses — yearly savings rates cover only the months with income
Record returns and refunds
- Mark a receipt as a refund and link it to the original receipt
- Statement import can now save refund and deposit rows too
New in Android app 1.10
- Open the monthly report from the household budget — last month's spending, categories, favorite stores, and an AI review
- Get a notification on the 1st of each month when last month's report is ready — turn it on or off in the notification settings
- See this month's budget in a home screen widget
- Tablets and foldable phones are now supported
Google Maps marketing (MEO) is now available on its own
You can start Google Maps marketing without a ReceiptRoller plan. It costs ¥2,980 per Google location per month, excluding tax.
- No POS register needed
- Pick your Google Business Profile locations to register your stores — name, address, phone number and hours come with them
- A home screen and menu made just for Google Maps marketing
- Move to the Starter plan or above later without paying twice — the separate payment ends, and unused days are adjusted on your next invoice
Better connections with Smaregi and Square
- Product changes made in Smaregi now arrive automatically — no need to press the sync button in product management
- When a POS account sign-in fails, we now show the reason
For developers and AI integrations
- Sales trends can now be fetched by day
- APIs for savings goals, fixed costs, special expenses and income are now available
- When a date is missing from a request, the response now names it
Other improvements and fixes
- Fixed the statement import page in the browser, which did not display correctly and could not select an image
- In the browser's household budget, a store no longer appears twice in the rankings because of a difference in spacing
- Fixed amounts sometimes showing ¥0 after pulling to refresh on the iPhone app's analysis screen
- POS sales and page images load more lightly
- Better security — our pages can no longer be embedded inside other sites, and only safe store URLs become links
