Asking for Reviews on Receipts

Google Reviews Receipts Review Growth

Digital receipts and receipt emails can show a button that opens your store's Google review form. Because only customers who have just paid are asked, it is a natural way to grow your Google reviews. The "Review growth" screen shows the effect week by week.

What Customers See

  • Under the receipt: "If you have a moment, we would love to hear what you thought on Google." and a "Write a Google review" button
  • It appears on digital receipts (including receipts received in LINE) and on receipt emails
  • The button opens your store's Google review form
  • The same customer is asked at most once every 30 days

Before You Start

Turning It On

  • Open the store's "Receipt design"
  • Under "Google reviews", turn on "Ask for a Google review under the receipt" and save
  • "What customers see" on the same screen shows how it will look

What Cannot Be Changed

Google's policies do not allow the following, so ReceiptRoller does not offer them either:

  • Changing the wording of the request
  • Offering a discount or perk in return for a review
  • Asking only the customers who seem satisfied

Checking the Effect

Press "See review growth" on the store's detail screen to open "Review growth".

  • Compare the "Review rate before asking" with the "Review rate since asking". The review rate is new reviews divided by visits (sales)
  • "Week by week" shows visits, requests shown, clicks, new reviews, average stars and review rate for each week
  • The week you started asking is marked "Asking started"
  • "—" means that week has not been recorded yet
