ReceiptRoller 1.4.864 Release Notes

This release brings version 1.6 of the iPhone and Android apps together with ReceiptRoller 1.4.864 on the web. Receipt editing, categories and labels, and account merging and sign-in method management — already available in the browser and the LINE mini app — now work in the iPhone and Android apps as well. We've also made check-in analytics count days on the store's own clock, fixed staff being removed from their stores, and improved how advertisers choose creatives, among other updates.

What's new in this release

Edit receipts, manage categories and use labels in the iPhone and Android apps

Organizing your household ledger is now possible from the apps too, not just the browser and the LINE mini app.

Fix a receipt before or after saving — change the store name, date, amount, items and category on the confirmation screen, or edit them later
Make categories your own — add categories or rename them; your household ledger reports follow the changes
Organize receipts with labels — add free-form labels such as "Travel" or "Work," separate from categories
Receipt times are now recorded — the time of purchase is kept along with the date
Fixed a display issue on the statement import screen

Merge accounts and manage sign-in methods in the iPhone and Android apps

If you started out with just the app, you can now sign in to your existing account and bring your data together in one place.

Sign in to your existing account — receipts and other data scanned on this device are merged into the account you sign in to
Create an account with a code sent by email — if the email address is already in use, you can merge your data into that account
New "Sign-in methods" in Settings — add an email address and password, or merge with another account
Fixed an issue where deleting an account sometimes didn't complete

Check-in analytics now count days on the store's clock

The check-in "Today" figure used to roll over at midnight UTC, which is 9 AM in Japan. Each day now starts at midnight in the store's time zone.

Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days and the 30-day chart — counted from the store's midnight, so early-morning check-ins land on the right day
Recent check-ins list — times are shown in the store's time zone
CSV date range — the dates are read as store dates, and both the first and last day are included
Daily check-in limit — the limit used to reset at midnight UTC (9 AM in Japan), so a customer could check in more than allowed on the same local day. It now resets at the store's midnight

Staff and POS integration fixes

Fixed staff being removed from their stores — updating a staff member without specifying their stores could unassign them from every store
Square employee sync — employees whose details haven't changed are no longer rewritten on every sync
Square product sync — only the fields that changed in Square are applied; unchanged products are left alone and aren't pushed to your online store again

For advertisers: choose creatives right from the ad unit

Pick from thumbnails — when adding an ad to an ad unit, search and filter creatives by folder and status. On phones, the picker opens full screen
Upload on the spot — a creative that fits the slot is selected as soon as it's uploaded. Creatives that don't fit can be shown along with the reason
Get back to the ad unit from the creative library — we added a "Back to ad unit" link
Creative screens in English, Traditional Chinese and Thai — review result emails are also sent in the recipient's language
Faster creative lists

Other improvements and fixes

Fixed errors that could occur on the business account's store list and when creating reservations
Fixed the top item of the "⋯" menu on the store list sometimes hiding behind the top bar
Fixed long names on phones pushing nearby buttons off the screen
