ReceiptRoller 1.4.499 Release Notes

In this 1.4.499 release, building on everything we've shipped since 1.4.377, we've delivered multilingual support for the site and store dashboard (English and more), push notifications that bring new coupons from favorited stores to customers' phones, AI-powered monthly reports, stronger thermal printer and e-receipt features, and one-step Square connection, among many other updates.

What's new in this release

Major progress on multilingual support

The ReceiptRoller site and store dashboard are now available in English. Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) and Thai are in preparation as well, and you can already try them from the language switcher.

Store dashboard and business account screens in English — sales analytics, social media management, reservations, shifts, mini app management, and the rest of your daily screens now work in English
Marketing pages, help, and news per language — switch languages on any page
Localized emails — reservation confirmations and e-receipt notifications are sent in the language matching the store's country setting
Account language preference — save your preferred language in settings and every visit uses it

New coupons from favorited stores, delivered by push notification

When a store publishes a new coupon, customers who have favorited that store now receive a push notification on their phone. For stores, it's a new channel that reliably reaches your regulars.

Automatic delivery on publish — no extra work on the store side
Quiet at night — notifications between 10 PM and 8 AM are held until the next morning
Frequency-capped — a daily per-customer limit prevents notification fatigue
Customers can turn notifications off anytime in the app's settings

AI monthly reports that review your month

We've built a monthly report in which AI summarizes and explains a month of spending. It will be available in the next update of the consumer app.

The whole month at a glance — totals, month-over-month change, category breakdown, and most-visited stores
AI advice — insights like "food spending fell 12% from last month," with a financial-planner's view of what went well and hints for next month
Budget and income comparison — see budget progress and savings rate together

Stronger thermal printer and e-receipt display

We've strengthened the thermal printer integration introduced last time, based on real store operations.

Store-facing printer management — check printer status and customize receipt printing right from the store dashboard
Easy setup for shipped printers — just link the printer you received to your store and start issuing
Better e-receipt pages — the page opened from the QR now shows the receipt exactly as printed, and customers can choose how to receive it: LINE, the app, or the browser
Settlement receipts stored separately — end-of-day and other operational receipts are kept apart from customer receipts

Connecting Square is now one step

For stores using Square POS, we've added a dedicated start page (receiptroller.io/square/start) that takes you from account creation to connecting your Square account by the shortest possible path. Once connected, Square payments can issue digital receipts.

Sign-in improvements for the apps

Fixed re-login after logout — resolved an issue where you couldn't sign in with a different account after logging out in the app
Simpler in-app sign-in screen — removed unnecessary buttons and links from the login screen opened by the apps
Stronger native-app security — adopted a safer authentication method (PKCE) that keeps no secrets inside the app

Site and first-time experience

Refreshed top page — redesigned so what ReceiptRoller can do comes across at a glance
Guided first-time setup — store onboarding now starts from "What brings you here today?" to pick your integrations, and consumers can try scanning a receipt before registering
Faster pages, better search visibility — improved page speed and made language-specific pages register correctly with search engines
New product page: Agri-Sphere — an environmental monitoring product for greenhouse growing

Other improvements and fixes

Better member invitations — inviters are now notified when an invitation email fails to deliver and can retry from the dashboard
Ad creative approval notifications — approval and rejection results are delivered by email
Social post composer improvements — preview your Instagram grid and link cards before posting
