ReceiptRoller 1.4.377 Release Notes

In this 1.4.377 release, building on everything we've shipped since 1.4.341, we've delivered push notifications for the staff app, e-receipt issuance via thermal printers, a major expansion of the developer API, improved sales display on the dashboard, and improvements to the LINE AI chat and mini app, among many other updates.

What's new in this release

Push notifications for the staff app

We've added push notifications to the store staff app, so your team can stay on top of what's happening without keeping the app open.

Order notifications — new orders and status changes are pushed to staff instantly
Shift notifications — shift assignments and changes are delivered directly to staff
Chat notifications — conversations between staff members are surfaced in real time
Announcement notifications — broadcast messages from the store are delivered to every staff member

Thermal printer integration (e-receipt issuance)

You can now register a ReceiptRoller-compatible thermal printer and issue an e-receipt QR code alongside your printed receipt. Customers simply scan the QR code shown on the printer to receive their e-receipt.

Printer registration — register your store's printer hardware to get started
E-receipt issuance — accounting data is imported and the customer-facing e-receipt page is generated automatically
Receive via QR — customers can view their e-receipt on the spot just by scanning the QR code

The dashboard's "this month's sales" now always shows the latest figures

The dashboard's total sales and transaction count for the current month now always reflect up-to-the-minute results, even mid-month. Previously, depending on aggregation timing, these figures could show as 0 — now they stay consistent with what you see in the receipt list.

Current month is aggregated in real time — the latest transactions are reflected in sales and counts immediately
Past months remain unchanged — closed months continue to show their finalized aggregated values
The current month on the sales trend graph is also shown with the same up-to-date figures

Major expansion of the developer API

We've significantly expanded the API available for integrating with external systems and your own apps. From register/EC transactions to store information, you can now read and write a much wider range of data securely.

Transaction list & transaction detail APIs — in addition to a unified list combining register (POS) and EC orders, you can now retrieve line-item detail (product, quantity, unit price, tax, discounts) and payment breakdowns
Receipt QR issuance API — issue an e-receipt QR code per transaction and hand it to customers from your own app
Store information API (get & update) — retrieve and update a store's basic information and business hours via the API
Expanded transaction data model — now handles more of what the register sends without truncation, including currency, split-payment breakdowns, refund details, and card information
Cleaned-up response specification — API response fields are now documented as a formal spec (OpenAPI), making integration work easier

Improvements to the LINE AI chat and mini app

We've refined the LINE AI chat and LINE mini app released previously, based on real-world usage.

AI-handled reservations — from party size and email confirmation to availability-aware suggestions, the AI now guides customers naturally from conversation through to booking, right in LINE
Booking-only mode — choose an operating mode where the AI completes bookings on its own, without handing off to a staff member
Accurate open/closed judgment in Japan time — fixed an issue where the AI would incorrectly treat an unset business-hours field as "closed today" and decline to take a booking
Mini app home and membership display — improved the home screen layout and membership/announcement display, and added a "Products / Reservations / FAQ" section to the menu

Other improvements and fixes

Fixed invoice links — short links related to invoices now correctly navigate to the invoice page
Improved help display — made code samples in the developer help pages easier to read
