Connecting ReceiptRoller to Instagram lets you publish feed posts, view analytics, and receive DMs. Posts are published through an Instagram business account (or creator account). Meta does not allow posting to personal accounts. Because Instagram is connected through the Meta platform, linking to a Facebook Page is required.

Before you start

• Make sure your Instagram account is a business account or creator account (you can switch in the Instagram app under "Settings" > "Switch to professional account")
• Make sure the Instagram account you want to connect is linked to a Facebook Page (link it from the Facebook Page's "Settings > Linked accounts")
• Make sure the Facebook account you use to connect is an admin or editor of the target Page

Steps to connect

• From the store menu, open "SNS Management > Accounts"
• Select "Instagram Business" from "Connect New Account"
• Sign in on the Facebook authentication screen and be sure to select the Page linked to Instagram when granting permission. If you don't select a page, you will get a "Page not found" error
• Grant permission to post, view your site, and publish content

Common connection errors

• Page not found: You didn't select a page on the authentication screen, or no Facebook Page exists. See Troubleshooting
• Instagram account not found: The link to the Facebook Page has been removed. Relink it on the Facebook side
• Insufficient permissions: You cannot connect with a personal account as is. Switch to a business account
