Connecting a LINE Official Account

SNS LINE Messaging API Account Connection

Connecting ReceiptRoller to a LINE Official Account lets you manage message delivery, one-way broadcasts to friends, and incoming messages. Unlike other SNS platforms, LINE does not use an OAuth authentication screen — instead, you connect by entering the Channel ID and Channel Secret issued in LINE Developers.

Before you start

  • Create a LINE Official Account
  • In the LINE Developers console, create a Messaging API channel for the provider you want to use
  • From the Messaging API channel's "Basic settings," have the Channel ID and Channel Secret ready

Steps to connect

  • From the store menu, open "SNS Management > Accounts"
  • Select "LINE Official Account" from "Connect New Account"
  • Enter the Channel ID and Channel Secret
  • Use "Test Connection" to confirm that an access token is issued successfully

Webhook settings

To handle messages received on LINE within ReceiptRoller, set the URL that ReceiptRoller issues as the "Webhook URL" in the LINE Developers console, and turn on "Use webhook." If another system already uses the webhook, you can share it using webhook forwarding settings.

Token validity period

Messaging API access tokens are valid for 30 days. ReceiptRoller automatically issues a new token as the expiration approaches. If you change the Channel Secret, re-register the secret from the account list.
