ReceiptRoller 1.4.95 Release Notes
Release 1.4.95 brings together a number of features we've been building up since the previous 1.4.81 release. The headline items are a new store check-in feature, expanded site support for flyer import, and a major overhaul of the store list that holds up under large-scale operations such as convenience store chains.
Key updates
Store check-in feature (new)
A new feature that automatically logs a visit when a customer scans a QR code or taps an NFC seal displayed at your storefront with their phone. You can set a validity period and a daily limit per campaign, and check-ins remain in the app as visit history.
- Create a campaign from the store management screen → instantly download a QR code / A6 print-ready PDF
- Write the same URL to an NFC seal by copy-paste (using any off-the-shelf NFC writing app)
- Customers can check in from the iOS / Android app or the LINE mini app
- Store-side dashboard shows today's / weekly / monthly visit counts, cumulative unique visitors, and a 30-day chart
- CSV export support (with date range selection)
- A "Check-In" tab was added to the store page for clearer navigation
Expanded flyer support
Flyer pages from some major retailers previously couldn't be imported automatically. We've expanded to three detection methods, significantly broadening coverage.
- Added support for automatic import from meclib-viewer-based sites (Ooze, Life, Tokyu Store, Naruse Shoi, and others)
- Fast import for direct PDF link sites (no GPT call needed)
- Store flyer uploads and scraper imports are now unified internally, so both paths deliver flyers to the consumer app in the same format
Store list overhaul for large-scale deployments (built for chains with 10K+ stores)
We fully reworked the search and pagination logic so the store list stays responsive even for chain operations spanning several thousand to ten thousand stores.
- Server-side pagination support (jump instantly to any page)
- High-precision search of store names and addresses via a Japanese-language analyzer
- Filter conditions are preserved when moving to the next/previous page in the paginator UI
- Rendering in under 1 second even for organizations with more than 10,000 stores
Check in from the LINE mini app
- Scanning a QR code from within LINE opens the mini app and completes the check-in immediately
- No app installation required
- Shares the same data as the native app (iOS/Android) and the mini app
Onboarding improvements
- Strengthened the path from the home screen (when no stores are registered) straight to the bulk CSV registration screen
- Multi-store businesses can now register smoothly from their very first session
Minor fixes
- Fixed an issue where the "Enable" checkbox on the check-in campaign edit screen would always save as OFF
- Optimized build and display performance across various screens
Key improvements by user type
Consumers (app users)
- Visits are logged just by tapping a QR code or NFC tag at your favorite stores (integration with rewards/stamps is planned for the future)
- Check in from the LINE mini app too
- Flyers from more retailers now update automatically in the app
Store operators
- Create a check-in campaign and get to QR printing in minutes
- Track visit counts at a glance with today/week/month tabs plus a 30-day chart, and export to CSV for further analysis
- The store list stays snappy even for large chains, and Japanese-language name search is now more accurate
Marketing teams
- Tie check-in data to your CRM or campaign analytics to power your next visit-promotion initiative
- Broader flyer import coverage means more promotional data accumulating across more areas
Developers & integration partners
- Published a consumer API for check-ins (
POST /api/v1/checkins,GET /api/v1/checkins/me, and more) https://receiptroller.io/c/{token}is now a universal link (when the iOS/Android app isn't installed, it falls back to a web landing page with install prompts)
About this release
1.4.95 is a milestone release reflecting the bulk of changes since 1.4.81. The check-in feature is in its pilot phase, and we're evaluating point-card integration, stamp-card partnerships, and NFC seal sales support as next steps, in that order. We'll also keep expanding flyer support to more sites going forward.
