Creating a Check-in Campaign

ReceiptRoller Check-in Campaign QR NFC

The check-in feature is a mechanism for automatically recording store visits when customers scan a QR code (or NFC tag) displayed at your store with their phone. Let's start by creating a campaign.

Creating a campaign

  • Go to the store management screen → Store Details → open the "Check-in" tab
  • Click the "New Campaign" button in the top right
  • Enter the following
    • Campaign name (required): Shown on the customer's app screen. Example: "Thank You for Visiting Campaign"
    • Description: A short message shown in the app when check-in is complete. Optional
    • Start date/time and end date/time: The valid period. Leave blank for no expiration
    • Daily limit per user: Defaults to 1. The maximum number of times the same customer can check in per day
  • Click "Create" to save the campaign and move to the edit screen

Getting the QR code

The QR code is displayed automatically on the right side of the edit screen. There are two ways to print it.

  • Print PDF (A6): An A6-size PDF with your store name and QR code. Ideal for a store POP display
  • PNG (high resolution): Image data (1000px) for embedding in a poster or flyer

Pausing a campaign

There's an "Archive" button at the bottom of the edit screen. Archiving stops check-ins from being accepted for that campaign, but the history and the QR code itself remain. To make it active again, click the "Resume" button.
