B2B EC · Invoicing

Month-end invoicing, done the morning after closing

Orders are gathered per each customer's closing date, invoiced and settled when you record the payment. Card and bank transfer run on the same screens, and invoices and delivery slips are qualified invoices.

B2B EC is included in the Growth plan and above, with a 30-day free trial.

What it is

Three ways to pay

Credit card, bank transfer and monthly invoicing. Customers see only what you have set up.

Monthly invoices

Monthly-invoice orders are gathered into one invoice per closing date and settled when you record payment. A credit limit caps them.

Qualified invoices & delivery slips

PDF invoices and delivery slips with your registration number and tax by rate. Customers can download them from order history.

How it works

  1. 1

    Set payment terms

Closing day, payment month, payment day and credit limit per customer or group.

  2. 2

    Order on monthly invoice

Customers you allow choose monthly invoice when they order.

  3. 3

    Issued the next morning

Automatic customers are invoiced; for manual ones the owners are told what is waiting.

  4. 4

    Record payment

Recording the payment settles the invoice and marks its orders paid.

Monthly invoices

What is waiting and what is unpaid, at a glance

Totals per customer past their closing date, and the payment status of invoices issued, on one screen.

  • Closing on the 1st to 28th or month end; payment this month, next month or the month after
  • Issue automatically or by hand, per customer
  • Send a payment reminder for an overdue invoice

Invoice

Invoices that meet the qualified-invoice rules

Your registration number, amounts and tax per rate, the due date and your bank details. Delivery slips come in the same form.

  • Your registration number and business details
  • Amounts and tax for the 10% and 8% rates
  • Customers download the PDF from their order history too

Notices

To the owners, the morning after closing

Monthly invoicing runs every morning and emails the owners what was issued and what is waiting.

  • Automatic customers as issued, manual ones as waiting
  • Customers get order confirmation and shipping notice emails
  • Bank transfer confirmations include your bank details and the amount

What is different

Card payments go straight to you

Card payments run on your own Stripe account. ReceiptRoller never holds the money and takes no fee per payment.

Japanese closing terms, as they are

Terms such as "close at month end, pay at the end of next month" or "close on the 20th, pay on the 10th" per customer.

Cancellations after issuing

Cancel an order on an unpaid invoice and the invoice is withdrawn, so the remaining orders can be invoiced again.

How we designed it

What we built, what we left out, and why.

01

Start with the customers you have

The first customers to move are those already on monthly terms. You carry the credit risk, and a credit limit caps it.

02

Automatic or manual, per customer

Some customers are the same every month; others you want to check first. So you choose per customer.

03

Only the methods you can take

No bank details, no bank transfer; no Stripe, no card. Customers are never offered a way to pay that cannot work.
