Sending Announcements and Confirming Read Status

Staff Communications Announcements Business Communication Read Confirmation

Announcements let owners and store managers broadcast work communications to staff in one direction. Use them for things like shift-change notices, updates to store policy, or letting staff know a campaign has started. Unlike 1-on-1 threads, announcements reach a wide audience and let you check who has read them.

Creating an announcement

  1. Open "Communications" from the side menu
  2. Click "New Announcement"
  3. Enter a title and body
  4. Select the recipients (see below)
  5. Set "Pin" and "Expiration" as needed
  6. Click "Send"

Choosing recipients

  • All staff: Sends to every active staff member registered in the business account
  • By store: Sends only to staff belonging to a specific store. You can select multiple stores
  • Individual selection: Choose staff members one by one

Recipients are fixed at the "snapshot at creation time." If you add staff after creating the announcement, they will not receive it (create a new announcement if needed).

Pinning and expiration

  • Pin: Keeps the announcement permanently displayed at the top of each staff member's inbox. Use it for important work notices or things you want kept visible for a while
  • Expiration: Announcements past their expiration date automatically disappear from the list. Convenient for time-limited campaigns or notices tied to a specific date

Confirming read status

Open "Read Status" from any row in the announcement list to check each recipient's read status and read timestamp. This lets you confirm whether an important message got through, and identify who needs a reminder.

Editing and deleting

  • Editing: The title, body, pin, and expiration can all be edited after sending. Recipients cannot be changed
  • Deleting: Owners and store managers can delete announcements that are no longer needed. Deleting removes it from staff members' inboxes as well
