Retail media is a mechanism that turns a store's points of sale (digital signage, shelf displays, near-register devices, etc.) into advertising media to earn ad revenue. With ReceiptRoller, a store acts as a media outlet delivering advertisers' campaigns and can receive revenue based on the number of impressions and clicks generated.
What You Can Do With Retail Media
- Register in-store ad spaces (digital signage, shelves, near-register) as advertising media
- Receive ad campaigns through the ReceiptRoller ad platform (RRRetailMedia)
- Automatically deliver ads matched to customer attributes (region, gender, age group)
- Track impressions, clicks, and conversions, and check them in the revenue report
How Monetization Works
- Register an ad space: Register the devices/displays installed in the store as ad space.
- Ads are delivered: When an advertiser sets up a campaign, ads matching the conditions are automatically delivered to eligible stores.
- Revenue is generated: Revenue is calculated based on the number of times an ad was displayed (impressions) or clicked.
- Check the report: You can check delivery performance and revenue on the dashboard.
Types of Ad Space
- Digital Signage: Large displays or wall-mounted monitors installed in the store
- Shelf Display: Small displays installed at the edge of product shelves
- POS Display: Devices installed near the register counter
Relationship With Advertisers
Stores function as providers of ad space (publishers). Advertisers (manufacturers, brands, etc.) deliver campaigns through the ReceiptRoller ad platform. Stores do not need to individually review or configure ad content — matching ads are assigned automatically based on the campaign's conditions.
