Private deals
A private deal is a way to sell ad slots directly to a partner such as a manufacturer. You set the period, ad spaces and price and send an offer. Once the partner agrees, their ads are delivered ahead of open bidding. Open it from "Private deals" at the top of the ad space screen.
Offer a deal
- You can offer a deal while "Private deals" is turned on in your selling rules. When it is off, the offer screen tells you so
- Press "Offer a deal" and enter a deal name (your partner sees it too) and your partner's email address. Partners without an account also receive an invitation email
- Choose a start date and end date (up to 366 days, from today onward)
- Choose the ad spaces. You can pick from ad spaces that accept outside ads
- Choose the pricing
- Fixed amount: the total for the period (before tax), counted day by day each month
- Fixed CPM: a price per 1,000 impressions (before tax)
- To keep the outside ads in the period for this deal only, tick "Exclusive". You cannot create a deal whose exclusivity overlaps another on the same ad space and period
Statuses
- Awaiting reply: waiting for your partner to reply. You can withdraw the offer during this time
- Agreed, Running, Ended: deals your partner has agreed to
- Declined, Withdrawn: deals that did not go ahead
You are notified by email when a partner agrees or declines. An offer cannot be edited after it is sent, so to change the terms, withdraw it and send a new one.
After your partner agrees
Your partner prepares their ads, and once they pass ReceiptRoller's review they are delivered during the period. You do not review them. With an exclusive deal, no open-bidding ads play on those ad spaces during the period.
If you turn off "Private deals" in your selling rules, you cannot send new offers, and ads from deals you have already agreed are not delivered. Once it is off, or if you have blocked the advertiser, your partner cannot agree to an offer they have received.
