ReceiptRoller 1.4.341 Release Notes

This release, 1.4.341, brings together everything we've built since the previous release, 1.4.320: stores can now create and run their own LINE Mini App, and we've launched LINE AI Chat, which automatically answers customer questions in LINE conversations using AI. We've also shipped FAQ/knowledge base registration with visibility controls, an expanded Shopify integration (limited availability), and plan-based access to native app creation (native apps and Wallet membership cards), along with many other updates.

What's new in this release

Stores can now build their own LINE Mini App

Each store can now create and publish its own LINE Mini App with no coding required. Just follow the guided setup starting with channel creation, and the necessary preparation (integration and automatic configuration) is handled for you.

  • Setup wizard and automatic configuration — The wizard walks you through the LINE channel creation steps on screen. Once you enter your credentials, the required display settings are configured automatically
  • Freely configure which pages and menus appear — Choose and arrange only what you need from receipts (purchase history), membership cards, profile, announcements, store information, coupons, reservations, points, stamp cards, and products
  • Purchase history (receipts) — Customers can view their own digital receipts and purchase history right in the Mini App
  • Linking with membership data — Customers who log in via LINE are linked to their membership record (CRM), so membership cards and points can be displayed

LINE AI Chat: AI automatically answers customer questions

We've launched a feature that lets AI automatically answer questions customers send to your official LINE account, using your store's latest information. Common questions like "What time are you open today?", "Is this in stock?", or "What did I buy last time?" are answered with real data, not guesses.

  • Answers grounded in your store's data — Responses draw on business hours, reservation availability, products, purchase history, and your registered FAQs
  • Purchase history only with consent — Personal information is only referenced when the customer has given their consent
  • Fine-grained per-store configuration — Choose on/off status, response hours, tone of voice, and which capabilities are enabled
  • Choose what happens when AI can't help — Wrap up with "please call us" or hand off to a staff member. Even stores without a dedicated support team can respond to customers without making them wait

Register FAQs and knowledge base entries with per-item visibility controls

You can now register frequently asked questions and store knowledge (parking, payment methods, access, policies, and more) and choose where each entry appears on an item-by-item basis.

  • Set three visibility destinations individually — Combine "usable by AI Chat," "public on website," and "public on LINE Mini App" as needed
  • Customer-facing FAQ page — A "Frequently Asked Questions" page has been added to both the public website and the Mini App, helping customers self-serve answers
  • Bot-only information is also supported — You can register information that stays hidden from customers but is used as grounding for AI responses

Shopify integration: limited availability launch

We've begun rolling out the Shopify integration in limited availability (invite-only). We're preparing for a general release on the Shopify App Store, and currently onboard stores individually upon request. In addition to syncing products, inventory, and orders, it also supports syncing promotions and customer data.

  • Import discounts and collections — Shopify discounts are imported as coupons, and collections as product categories
  • Customer data sync — Shopify customers are imported into your membership data (CRM), giving you unified management of in-store and e-commerce customers
  • Improved reliability — Sync failures are now easier to diagnose, and overall connection stability has improved
  • If you'd like to use this integration, please contact us (once generally available, you'll be able to access it directly from "Shopify Integration" in the store menu)

Native app creation (native apps and Wallet membership cards) now requires the Gross plan or higher

Native apps published on the App Store / Google Play, along with Apple Wallet and Google Wallet membership cards, are now available on the Gross plan and above. The website and LINE Mini App remain available on lower-tier plans as before. See the pricing page for details on what's included in each plan.

Other improvements and fixes

  • Adding favorite stores — Made it easier for customers to add favorite stores from within the app
  • Receipt source labeling — Improved how scanned receipts, digital receipts, and imported line items are visually distinguished, with clearer category color-coding so the source is obvious at a glance
  • External login stability — Improved reliability of external logins and session handling in the in-app browser
  • Business account name display — The business account name now appears in the admin panel breadcrumbs, making it easier to tell which account you're working in

In upcoming releases, we're working on a general release of the Shopify integration (available on the Shopify App Store), further enhancements to LINE AI Chat (handling more types of questions and expanding FAQ ingestion), expanded LINE Mini App menu options, financial insights based on your income and expense data, and expanded B2B e-commerce features.
