ReceiptRoller 1.4.305 Release Notes
In this 1.4.305 release, building on the development since the previous 1.4.287 release, we're rolling out a major expansion of the MCP tools that let AI agents such as ChatGPT and Claude operate products, orders, and inventory. Alongside this, we've added a Brand Catalog feature that lets brand manufacturers share a master product catalog with retail stores, a playback performance dashboard for media displays, a refreshed advertiser management screen, and expanded developer APIs, among many other updates.

What's new in this release
Major expansion of AI agent integration (MCP)
We've added product management, order management, and inventory management tools to the MCP integration that lets you operate ReceiptRoller from AI agents such as ChatGPT and Claude. Combined with sales analytics and social media tools, a total of 34 tools are now available.
- Product Information Management (PIM) — Requests like "show me the product list" or "change this product's price to 1,280 yen" are now handled entirely through conversation with an AI
- Order Management (OMS) — AI agents can now check and confirm orders and register shipments (carrier plus tracking number)
- Warehouse Management (WMS) — Supports inventory checks and adjustments, such as "which products are low on stock?" or "reduce the damaged-goods count by 3"
- New overview page published — We've launched a new AI agent integration overview page summarizing what's possible with MCP
Brand Catalog feature launched (for brand manufacturers)
This feature lets a brand manufacturer publish its own master product catalog, allowing retail stores to pull items straight into their own product management with one click. It replaces the old workflow of emailing JAN codes, specs, and images, saving significant time.
- Brand side — Set "share with other stores" on a per-product basis, and see at a glance which stores have subscribed
- Store side — Browse the catalog under "Import from brand," then select and import the products you need
- Updates reflected automatically — When the brand updates product information, stores see an "update available" notice and can refresh with one click. Prices and cost values set on the store side are preserved
Added a playback performance dashboard to media displays
The in-store Android media display feature we launched in the previous release now includes a playback performance visualization dashboard.
- Check cumulative and completed playback counts by campaign
- See delivery status and online status by device at a glance
- Playback data is collected automatically from devices, including catch-up delivery after being offline
Refreshed the advertiser management screen
We've comprehensively redesigned the advertiser management screen for brand manufacturers.
- Dashboard now shows real data — Impressions, clicks, ad spend, and budget pacing are now aggregated and displayed from actual delivery data
- Per-platform connection status — See authentication status for ad accounts such as Google, Meta, and X at a glance. Expired authentication is now flagged directly on the dashboard
- Improved usability — The campaign list now links to detail pages via row tabs, and loading navigation has been unified across all screens
Expanded developer APIs
We've expanded the APIs available for integrating with external systems and your own apps. For details, see the Developer Help.
- Published an Inventory Management API — Supports retrieving location-level inventory checks, adjustments, and movement history. An implementation guide is also now available
- Added shipment registration to the Sales Management API — Register a shipment with carrier and tracking number in a single call
- Added partial updates to the Product Management API — Safely update only the fields you specify, such as when changing just the price
- Published a Business Hours API — Added APIs for retrieving and updating store business hours and special business days, plus a "currently open" status check
Bug fixes
- Fixed an issue where video posts to X (formerly Twitter) could sometimes be posted without the video attached
- Fixed an issue where omitting the display name in the Staff Registration API caused registration to fail (the display name is now auto-generated from first and last name)

What's next
In upcoming releases, we plan to work on launching Shopify integration (syncing products, orders, and inventory), enforcing rate limits (controlling against the same activity flooding in repeatedly within a short time), mobile support for the staff-facing inbox screen, and daily/weekly graph support for the Sales API, among other items.
