Adding a Coupon to an Ad
retail media
coupons
receipt ads
app ads
You can add a coupon to receipt and app ads that customers can use on their next visit. Signage ads can't carry a coupon. You set up the coupon when you add the ad.
What you can set
- Discount type: An amount off (¥1 to ¥10,000 off) or a percentage off (1% to 50% off)
- Valid for (days): 1 to 90 days. The coupon can be used until the end of the last day (Japan time), counted from the day it is handed out
- Minimum purchase (optional)
- Most coupons to hand out (required): The maximum number of coupons handed out. This also caps your coupon cost. Once the cap is reached, the ad stops running
- Terms (optional): Up to 120 characters
How coupons are handed out and used
- With receipt ads, the coupon is handed out together with the receipt. With app ads, it is handed out when the customer takes it
- A coupon can be used once, at any store in the business account of the store that handed it out. Store staff check it at checkout
Cost
The discount on coupons that are used is billed separately from the ad delivery cost. The discount amount is paid to the store to cover it.
Reports
Coupon uses and checkout amounts are totaled for each completed week (Monday to Sunday). Use counts below 5 are not shown. Checkout amounts are shown once there are uses at 5 or more stores and 20 or more uses in total.
