Retail media ads are charged by the number of times they are shown, at your bid per 1,000 impressions (before tax). There is no account fee and no minimum spend.
How an ad is chosen
- For each slot a store has opened to outside ads, the ad with the highest bid among the ads that match is chosen. You pay your own bid
- Bids below a store's minimum price are not delivered
- Ads from a private deal you arranged directly with a store are delivered before bids
When an impression is counted
- Signage: when the ad plays to the end
- Digital receipt: when the customer opens the receipt for the first time, or when the ad image in the email loads for the first time (once per receipt). Just sending the email does not count
- Printed receipt: when the printer finishes printing
- App slot: when the ad is shown in the app
Budget
- You are never charged more than your total budget or your daily budget (one day in Japan time). When a budget is reached, delivery stops
- There is no feature that spreads your budget evenly. To avoid spending too much on any one day, set a daily budget
Impressions per person and per screen
- Signage: the same campaign up to 12 times an hour on one screen
- App slot: the same campaign up to 3 times a day to the same customer
- Receipt: one outside ad per receipt
