Importing a Credit Card Statement CSV

credit card CSV import

By importing your credit card statement, you can include online payments and subscription charges in your household budget too. With automatic matching to your receipts, item details get attached to the card charges.

Download the CSV from your card company

  • Log in to your card company's website (or member app).
  • Open a menu such as "Transaction history" or "Statement."
  • Choose the period and download it in CSV format.

Import it into ReceiptRoller

  • Open "CSV import" from the menu.
  • Select "Credit card statement."
  • Pick the CSV file you downloaded and tap "Import."

Automatic matching to receipts

  • If there's a receipt with the same date, store, and amount, it's matched automatically.
  • Matched charges are shown with their item details.
  • Charges that don't match still remain in the list as card statement entries.

Managing multiple cards

If you use several credit cards, import each card's CSV. You can total by card too, so you can see at a glance which card you used, and how much, for what.
