For anyone who wants to stop using ReceiptRoller entirely.
Important: Account deletion cannot be undone. All data is erased and can't be restored. Before you truly delete, we recommend exporting your data and considering suspension instead.

Checklist before deleting

  • ☐ You've exported any data you need
  • ☐ If you're the owner (SuperUser) of a business account, you've transferred that authority to someone else, or deleted the business account
  • ☐ You've revoked all linked-app authorizations
  • ☐ You have no unpaid invoices
  • ☐ You've cancelled any active plan contracts

How to delete

  1. "Settings" → "Account" → "Delete account"
  2. Choose a reason (optional)
  3. Enter your password
  4. Type "DELETE" (identity confirmation)
  5. "Delete"

What happens after deletion

  • You can't log in immediately
  • Access from all linked apps is also disabled
  • Personal information, profile, and login history are physically deleted within 30 days
  • In past comments and business account member lists, you appear as "Deleted user"
  • You can re-register with the same email address (but it's treated as a new account)

Data that isn't erased

The following is retained for a period even after deletion, due to statutory record-keeping obligations and the like.

  • Invoices and payment history (7 years for tax purposes)
  • Audit logs (for fraud investigation, at least 1 year)
  • Receipt data a consumer disclosed to a business account (owned by the business account)

These are retained after personally-identifiable information is anonymized.

Note for business account owners

If you're the last SuperUser of a business account, you'll need to do one of the following before deleting your account.

  • Transfer SuperUser to another user, then delete
  • Delete the business account itself (all data under the business account is lost)

If you want to recover

Within 30 days of deletion, you may be able to recover by contacting support. After 30 days it's fully deleted and can't be recovered.
