By syncing the products, orders, and stock you sell on Shopify with Receipt Roller, you can unify stock and order management across your EC store, brick-and-mortar stores, and B2B EC.
What the Integration Enables
- Product sync (PIM → Shopify): Products registered in PIM are automatically pushed to Shopify. Product name, price, description, images, variations, and stock quantities are reflected in real time.
- Order import (Shopify → OMS): Orders placed on Shopify are automatically imported into OMS. Since orders are tagged with the "Shopify" channel, you can manage them separately from B2B EC and in-store orders.
- Stock sync (WMS ↔ Shopify): WMS stock quantities are reflected on Shopify in real time. Stock deductions from Shopify sales are also automatically synced back to WMS. Display controls on the Shopify side when stock runs out can also be configured.
Setup Steps
- From the Receipt Roller external EC integration settings screen, select "Shopify."
- Enter your Shopify store URL and API access token.
- Select the scope of products to sync (all products, a specific category, or specific SKUs).
- Run the initial sync (existing products are matched by SKU).
- After that, sync happens automatically whenever a change occurs.
Field Mapping
PIM fields correspond to Shopify fields as follows.
- SKU → Shopify Variant SKU (matching key)
- Product name → Title
- Description → Body HTML
- Category → Product Type / Collections
- Tax rate → Tax Rate
- Tax-included price → Price
- Variations → Shopify Variants (color, size, etc.)
Notes
- PIM is the product master. Product information changed directly on the Shopify side may be overwritten at the next sync.
- On the Shopify Plus plan, stock sync across multiple locations is supported.
