Anyone considering creating a business account, or wanting to understand the difference between a business account and a personal account.

A ReceiptRoller business account is the unit that groups and manages your stores, payments, and members together. Use it when you operate multiple stores as a company, run a single store with several people, or manage multiple client accounts as an agency.

Cases where you need a business account

  • You operate stores as a company
  • You run a single store with several people (Owner + staff)
  • You manage multiple client stores centrally as an agency
  • You operate multiple stores under one company
  • You want to pay with company expenses / issue invoices in the company's name
  • You want to use API integrations / the developer portal (requires the Starter plan or above)

Scope of the business account Owner's responsibilities

The business account Owner (SuperUser role) holds the following permissions and responsibilities.

  • Changing business account information, payment method, and plan
  • Inviting members, assigning roles, and removing them
  • Full access to all store data
  • Deleting the business account (final responsibility)
  • Invoice recipient and payment responsibility

You can set multiple Owners (at least one is required). Before an Owner resigns or leaves, transfer their permissions to another Owner in advance.
