If You Get a Sign-in or Merge Notice You Don't Recognise

ReceiptRoller lets you know when a sign-in method is added or removed and when accounts are merged. This article lists those notices and what to do if you don't recognise one.

The notices

They go to your account's email address and to any LINE connected to it. The subjects are in Japanese, with an English line at the end of the message:

  • 【レシートローラー】ログイン方法が追加されました — a sign-in method was added
  • 【レシートローラー】ログイン方法が解除されました — a sign-in method was removed
  • 【レシートローラー】メールアドレスとパスワードが設定されました — an email and password were set
  • 【レシートローラー】アカウントがまとめられました — accounts were merged
  • 【レシートローラー】アカウントのまとめが取り消されました — a merge was undone

Emails come from no-reply@receiptroller.com. A notice never asks you to enter your password.

If it was you

There's nothing to do. If you made changes in both the LINE mini app and a browser, you get a notice for each.

If it wasn't you

  • If you can sign in, change your password straight away
  • Open "Connected accounts" in Account settings and choose "Disconnect" for any sign-in method you don't recognise
  • Note the date and time in the notice and contact us
  • With multi-factor authentication on, a password alone isn't enough to sign in

If your account was merged

Within 30 days of a merge, support may be able to separate the two accounts again. Contact us soon, with the date and time from the notice. When the merge is undone you get a "merge was undone" notice. If you can't sign in with your password afterwards, reset it.
