Setup After Your First Login
For anyone who has just finished registering and logged in for the first time.
You'll be guided through this as a wizard on your first login. It takes 3 to 5 minutes. You can also skip it and set things up later.
Step 1: Display name and language
- Display name: the name other members and stores see. Your real name or business name is recommended
- Language: choose the display language, such as Japanese or English
- Time zone: Asia/Tokyo for users in Japan
Step 2: How you'll use ReceiptRoller
Choose how you plan to use ReceiptRoller (multiple selections allowed). Your choice changes the recommendations shown on the home screen and the help guidance you see.
- Manage my own receipts as a consumer
- Run a store as a store owner
- Manage multiple stores as an agency
- Use the API as a developer
- Run ad campaigns as an advertiser
Later you can start using the actual features from "Create a business account," "Register a store," "Go to the developer portal," and so on.
Step 3: Notification settings
- Email notifications (important announcements and newsletters)
- Push notifications (mobile app)
You can fine-tune these later. There's no problem starting with the recommended settings.
Step 4: Multi-factor authentication (recommended)
We strongly recommend enabling MFA before you go into production use. You can set it up right from the wizard. You can also set it up later if you skip it.
Step 5: Profile image (optional)
Setting a photo or business logo makes you easier to find for members of stores, agencies, and business accounts.
What you can do once you're done
- Register a store (→ choose a plan)
- Create a business account or join an existing one
- Start managing receipts
- Use the developer portal (Starter plan and above)
