Connect a Shopify store
When you connect a Shopify store to ReceiptRoller, you can manage products, orders, inventory, and customer information all in one place. This page explains the steps from connecting a store to syncing each type of data.
Before you connect
- You can connect a Shopify store that you manage yourself (you will need its URL in the form ◯◯◯.myshopify.com).
- This must be done by a member with administrator permissions on the business account.
Connect the store
- From the business account menu, open "Shopify Integration".
- Enter ◯◯◯.myshopify.com in "Shopify Store URL" and select "Authorize with Shopify".
- You will be taken to a Shopify screen. Review the details and authorize. After authorization, you are automatically returned to ReceiptRoller, where the store appears as connected.
Map locations
Before syncing inventory, map your Shopify locations to ReceiptRoller warehouses.
- Under Location Mapping on the Shopify Integration page, choose the warehouse that corresponds to each Shopify location.
- Locations that are not mapped are excluded from inventory sync.
Sync data
Pull the data you need using the buttons on the connected store.
- Products — Import Shopify products and variations into your product master.
- Orders — Import Shopify orders.
- Inventory — Import inventory for the locations you mapped.
- Customers — Import Shopify customer information into customer management (CRM).
To avoid registering the same product or customer more than once, records are automatically matched during import. No duplicates are created no matter how many times you sync.
About customer information sync
Customer names, contact details, and similar data are protected on the Shopify side. If you want to use customer sync, you may need to configure a setting in the Shopify admin that grants ReceiptRoller access to customer information. If access is not granted, customer information is not imported.
Disconnect
- You can disconnect at any time from "Disconnect" on the Shopify Integration page.
- If you uninstall the app on the Shopify side, the connection is also removed automatically.
